About
demonnic is just this guy, you know?
But I suppose if you want more than that, I first found my love for text gaming in the late ’80s or early ’90s when I was around 10 years old and dialing into the phone based BBSs, playing L.O.R.D. and TradeWars, as well as some of the old classics like The Hithchiker’s Guide to the Galaxy text adventure offline. This eventually led to me finding the internet MUD community in the late ’90s. Fast forward a few years to 2008 when I’m running all linux at home and meet Vadi and Heiko who had this crazy plan to write a cross platform MUD client in Qt.
It is now 2021 at the time of writing, and Mudlet is thriving. My work with Mudlet would eventually influence my career towards DevOps and has been a large part of my life for over a decade now, and I’d like to share some of what I’ve learned over that time.
